Older Parrot in Trouble

I belonged to this forum before, but can't locate my username, so signed up again. Anyway, my big female Parrot, "Dave" is hanging in the corner of her tank. I have two, Dave and Winston, who are at least six years old. They are in a 55 gallon. Everything is the same as always except three things:

Nesting Cichlid

I have two Cichlids--one much larger than the other. They have been tankmates for about three years.  The smaller one has staked out a part of the tank, on the gravel where he/she has moved the gravel to form what looks like a nest. He/she seems to stay there most of the time.  I have not noticed any changes in appearance or feeding just that he/she spends considerable time in this nest.  This started when I moved them into a larger (50 gallon) tank.

New to Parrots!

Me and my boyfriend were shopping around this morning when we decided we wanted two beautiful Parrot fish. We took them home and kept them in a small take and everything was going great. I contacted a friend and got a much larger tank, maybe 45gallons. While I was about to feed them I realised my poor smaller parrot (Bait), was being bullied, slammed, and what looked like bit my larger fish (Shark)! I'm a worried fish mama and need advice! What do I do!?!

Introducing others to an established pair

I have a male (6") and female (4") BP that I've had for 2 1/2 years (were small when I purchased them).  They are in a 50 gallon tank with 5 tiger barbs, half a dozen cories, and a decent sized siamese algae eater.

I recently purchased a 70 gallon tank (not set up yet) and would like to get a couple more BP's.  Can anybody share their experience with adding new BP's to an established pair?  Should I get females?  How much would it matter if I ended up with another male?  Does size/age of the new ones matter?

Cichlid swims upside down and doesn't eat

My Parrot Cichlid has been swimming upside down for months now.
I have tried the frozen thawed peas, sinking tablets, fasting and flakes.
He is still upside down and now he will not eat at all and the other
Parrot Cichlid in my tank will not leave his side.
What can I do???
Is he suffering?
I noticed he is breathing a lot faster now as well.

Please Please Help.
I can stand seeing him like this and feeling that he is suffering.

Thank you for all your help.

New Parrot Cichlids hiding constantly

I have 2 Parrot Cichlids and have had them 10 days. They have hidden since I have gotten them. They only eat when I go away from tank. I am thinking about returning them. The tank is not in a secluded area but I live alone with 2 dogs. Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to weather I should keep them? How much food do they need?
Do they need to eat 2 times a day?

Is my parrot fish exhibiting a phantom pregnancy?

I changed our parrot fish's tank to one with gravel and sea shells so he could dig.

After substantial remodelling of the tank by our parrot fish he picked an upturned flattish shell and has been cleaning the surface then a small tube appeared under its body which sounds like his mating tube.  This is still visible and his colour has diminished in its flanks with the usual red up by his dorsal fin following the body.

Fighting or mating

Hello everybody! Today my bp's are going crazy, the bully of the tank is dancing and kissing my other bp my bully bp looks like something white is haging under his belly, may be that they mating both bp's are acting territorial, what can i do? I will apreaciate any advice, thanks!

1 dominant parrot + 1 weaker parrot = worried owner

Recently my family relocated our 30 gal fish tank upstairs so everyone can enjoy it.  It had been empty of tetras for about three months, and we decided to try something new--cichlids.  Blood parrots.

We bought two blood parrots and a couple of tiny convict cichlids to keep them company.
