Black Spot & Ick

My parrot fish has developed some small black spots on it fins and between its head top fin. What do I need to do? It also has ick right now so I am treating that also. Is the black spot harmful to the her (I think it's a her, according to what I've read)?

Thanks,
Kolton

Velvet is Cleared

I called one of my local petshops, and they said to get some Precopperton. I added some of it and within a couple of hours the black spot, ick, and velvet was all cleared. Luckly it worked pretty well.

Velvet

I contacted my petshop and they said that it is not ick and that the white spots are a type of velvet very similar to ick. They gave me a name of a medicine I need to get.

Black Spots

I've heard that the black spots can be caused by stress and if you are currently treating for ich then your bp may be experiencing some stress due to medication or due to the ich itself. Black spots will go away usually within a week or 2. Just keep an eye on the behavior of the fish. If he starts to act in a way that is not normal habit of the fish then there may be some other underlying issue.

Thanks in advance for the
