Hi,It's me again ... as I am waiting for my account password to be sent to my email so i can long in and use my account name .
I thought I would share a little story about bringing my bp Mandi home. First of all the owner at the fish store was very helpful and told me that he had 4 bp's of his own and gave me some great tips on what kind of food to feed her . He also made sure she had extra air and double bagged her and gave me a sturdy little box to set her in so that her bag wouldn't get bumped.
However ..... He forgot to mention that bp's sometimes bite when they get upset . So... there I was sitting in the car discussing my new bp with the friend who was driving... When I felt water start to drip from the box onto my leg . Sure enough ... little Mandi had desided that she Not want to be in that bag and took a nip at the side of the bag and punctured it . I made a emergency run to the nearest dollar store and bought a small bucket to make sure that we wouldn't lose anymore water or air out of her bag and that she would make it home safely .
It wasn't until later that I read the part where they bite... Now I have a nice little bucket to take along for the next bp Just Incase . Thought this might give some of you a laugh . p.s.) Mandi seems to really like freeze dried krill ..any other suggestions ? I am also feeding her South American Cichlid Color and she really likes that as well .

Double bag it
Ask them to double bag it next time too. I had that happen with a pleco I bought. They have spines and it poked holes in the bag because the clerk forgot to double bag it for me. I had to run back into the store and get another bag!!
