Tap water with Stress Coat + ok to take out chlorine

I use tap water (city) and use stress cost + in it for water changes. Is that ok? Or should i let the water sit out overnight and still use stress coat? I like the ease of using it. Thanks,

hi

In a freshwater setup one typically does not need to let the water sit overnight. You can go for a straight top up unlike saltwater setups. Most people let their freshwater sit overnight only to run a heater in them so that the tank temp and WC temp is the same. Stress coat + is a good product and i would recomend it. Make sure it does say it removes chlorine and chloramine.

Does the stress coat + say on the bottle that it takes care of chlorine and chloramines? If it does you are doing good. I don't age my water. I use Start Right with allantoin. It comes from Walmart and is cheap. I use a python on my big tank and I add the start right as the water is being added back in. I've never had any problems even with weekly 40% water changes.
