Help - I had 2 parrot fish, both 10 yrs old. Always been healthy, and within the last couple of weeks they have started losing their color, not eating, and staying in the back part of the tank. (75 gallon, tank mates 2 plecostomus cats, 1 silver dollar, 1 convict) After check all water levels, I found the ph was low, so brought it up to their liking. They immediately started swimming more, getting a bit of color back, and moving about the tank.
Last night, one of them just went belly up. I watched him for a while, he couldn't save himself. I was devastated. My surviving parrot is swimming around okay today, but when I fed him, he seemed to be interested, but couldn't suck in the flakes.
Any suggestions? Help? These fish have survived 5 days years ago with power outage (horrible ice storm!), moving from one state to another, etc. Have tolerated all other tank mates, with no issues. Is this just old age? Or is there something I can do to help him?

10 Yrs old is an excellent
10 Yrs old is an excellent age for this fish. They generally live 10-15yrs. If your water is still good I would say that it could indeed be old age.
