Mango Kiss problem and i dont know what to do

Mango kiss (fish) lays down on the rocks and breathes to me i think its not too heavy  and im scared cause a few minutes ago he started flipin like crazy and I put him in cold water he can barely stand up staight he's always leanin to his side...?

how do u tell if its male or female too?
