How to feed a hiding parrot? :-)

To add to my question yesterday RE: parrot + oscars + shyness, my new question is:

Since Parrot is going through shyness and won't come out of his newly chosen home, how do I feed him?  I usually feed the loaches frozen blood worms, and a few drift into his home and he appears to pick them up off the ground, but... I am worried it may not be enough?

Any techniques on feeding a shy/hiding parrot?  How long can they go without a decent amount of food before it effects them?

Cheers,

Joshua

Parrots are kind of Camera

Parrots are kind of Camera Shy, and they at first dont like being watched while they eat, you should feed them with the tanks light off, maybe with only indirect lighting, and then leave them ALONE for some minutes...
remember THEY REALLY CAN SEE you, and if you are anywhere near the tank, they'll keep themselves hidden ... return later and you should notice that the food is partial or totally gone..

shy parrot

I didn't see my smallest parrot properly for around 8 weeks, a record i think!

We he gets hungry enough he

We he gets hungry enough he will eat. You could try feeding with the lights off.

FYI --- He did start coming out a little yesterday

He swam a little yesterday morning and today when I first turned the light on, so he isn't always staying in his home anymore, but he doesn't stay out long.
