Its normal for them to be stressed when you first get them but considering you have a 5 gallon tank thats a big factor in it as well. One of my parrots Butters was like that as well:
She looked like this when I brought her home: http://s1022.photobucket.com/albums/af345/chrisplosion/?action=view&curr...
A few days later: http://s1022.photobucket.com/albums/af345/chrisplosion/?action=view&curr...
Today (5 months later): http://s1022.photobucket.com/albums/af345/chrisplosion/?action=view&curr... The one in the far back
holy crap
I totally did not mean for the photo to turn out this big! oh mylanta. anywho, is it normal for a newly added fish to be this stressed? I don't want him to die of a heart attack or anything. also, since this is a really big pic, can anyone tell if its a boy or a girl. lol.
hahaha............but yes it
hahaha............but yes it is relativity normal for them to get something called black spot "disease". I put the quotations because as one of the users told me, it isn't really a disease, just something they are still getting used to (in your case) or something that has changed to where they are uncomfortable. My parrot cichlid, Bonbell, did the same thing when I got her. So don't worry. They should go back to normal colour soon........sometimes it takes a bit. =) BEST OF LUCK!!!
