Phishy Update

For those of you who know Marley, hes doing great and has gotten a bit bigger. At on point I thought he had Hole in the Head but it turned out to be a scratch. But its healing up real nice.

Ziggy has gotten big too!

Heres Ziggy and Mr. Bubbles.

Mr. Bubbles and Butters have been trying so hard to be parents with no luck. Butters is finally developing her orange color, so mych for her staying black :(

I had to give away Piglet (Blood Parrot) and Rockwell (Jack Dempsey) because they were fighting to much and I didn't have room for them. I also am trying to find a home for Niko my Flowerhorn because keeps attacking my turtle Waffles and I don't want her to get hurt. I also lost my female convict Peaches because I moved her out of the 55 gallon because Niko was trying to kill her and I put her in 75 gallon with Marley and the other parrots but I didn't anticipate Marley eating her :( which was weird becasue the firemouths are half her size and he dosn't touch them.

So yesterday I went out and bought another Oscar. I have't named it yet and its really small, less than one inch so its in the 20 gallon all hy itself until it gets bigger. Unfortunatly he/she was juiced (hormone treatment) so it does have its adult red coloring but luckly Marley never did.

Oscars

i think you are really lucky to have success keeping Oscars and parrots together, i would normally say that's a no no, i had Oscars for years, great fish!but mine killed everything it came across,I think the main problem is that people underestimate how much room they need to keep both fish, and don't give much though to what they will do if it doesn't work out, and find due to their size ,they aren't easy to move on, nice pics

Re: Oscars

Thanks, Marley is really buddy buddy with one of the parrots Ziggy. Hes really mellow compared to some oscar I have seen. I have noticed that if I try to move someone into the tank he will attack but he is ok with whats already in the tank considering they are small enough to eat.
