re parrots with no tails
usually they are cut, they cut them really short too or the tail can grow back, they also cut them into a heart shape to make a bit more money near valentines day!!!!
Re: parrots with no tail
It's more horrible than dyeing, and dyeing is pretty horrible too. I read that most of them (with the tail cut off) don't make it. The one's you see at the stores are the survivors... I can't understand whey they can't just leave them be, they're perfect just the way they are.
Re: parrots with no tail
They are called heart parrots and are the result of cutting the tails off. Almost if not more horrible than dyeing them.
Re: parrots with no tail
They are either modified (cut) or defects from being a hybrid fish. I have seen one in the shop once and they can live normal lives and grow to full size. You can try looking up "heart shaped" BPs (i think that is what they are)
Re: parrots with no tail
I'm not so sure what they're called but I do know that most of them had their tails chopped off while they're tiny. With very high mortality rates. A very small number of them are supposed to be natural mutation. I read somewhere that the way you can tell the difference is that if where the tail is supposed to be comes to an inverted point, it's natural and if there's a straight vertical line, it's had it's tail cut off.
