Hello,
I am really very new to having Parrot fish, I have only kept tropical fish, but I would like to know how often I feed them ,as everybody in the Aquarium shops say different things.
I have some pellets ,frozen live food , i am going to get dried blood worm, and also live shrimps,I also have frozen live food in my freezer and they will have to small cubes, my fish are a pair, they say about twoyears old one is about 11 cms long ,the male, and the female is bigger about 13cms long, it is difficult to tell the size really but about that and the bigger one has a much bigger body,
I have been told to feed them daily, and I have been told to feed every other dau, also the Tetramin pellets are not very big and they say six of them and still every other day, I doubt if they can even find those pellets, or can they?
It doesnt seem a lot of food and then only feed every other day, although I realise that you dont want to get polluted water, but I am in a real muddle, could someone please tell me, I dont want them to starve to death, also they are in a 190 litre tank ,s it is big enough for them ,
They also say to put a broken terracotta pot ( rinsed well with water first ) as they like to hide, but there is a stone ,( a roughish one ) and a bit of wood ,they can hide behind there ,do they need anything that I havent given them .
I would be grateful for any help , particularly about the feeding
Many thanks 52snookums
