Beautiful
I think you did a wonderful job on your fish tank it is beautiful.
Re: Beautiful
I like the alligator I have in it.
hey
Hey this looks more like a convict to me rather than a BP. But it surely was in a bad shape when you rescued it. Has it started feeding anything yet?. Try a beef heart mix or frozen brine shrimp, it will help recover a lot faster and you will see some really true colours. If possible i would also try my hands at hatching brine shrimp and feeding them live.
Cheers
Nash
Re: hey
Both my baby parrot I rescued and the parrot that looks like a convict have been eating.
Re: Pics of new baby parrot/Updated 55
Not that I'm mad about it but for some reason the new guy, who my family dubbed Ziggy for some reason, doesn't want to hide. I guess if they are older when you get them they are more likely to hide when you first get them. He doesn't really care for Marley, my baby oscar who is about the same size.
Re: Re: Pics of new baby parrot/Updated 55
hopefully they will start getting along at some point :)
Re: Re: Re: Pics of new baby parrot/Updated 55
Its funny, I will drop in some little dried shrimp for Marley and Ziggy tries to eat it but its little parrot mouth can't grab it. So Marley will swoop in an take it making Ziggy angry and so he chases him.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Pics of new baby parrot/Updated 55
aww, i love these fish! soo cute. hope he can start catching them! :)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Pics of new baby parrot/Updated 55
Its not so much as he cant catch them, its more along the lines of too small a mouth. Even my bigger parrots have trouble with the shrimp.
Butters
Really cute little fella....or gal !!!!
Mr/Mrs Bubbles
Google Chrome won't let me post a new message so I will post it here. I can see Mr. B's breeding tube kinda and I'm not sure if its a Mr or Mrs. He/she is only about 3.5 inches so its small and hard to tell. What shape is male and which is female? I'm hoping for female so I can maybe have Jack Parrots (Dempsey X Parrot).
Re: Mr/Mrs Bubbles
they both have tubes, but they say that the males r pointy like a ''v'', and the gals r rounded like a ''u''. but its really hard to tell. i have both and i cant realy tell the difference that way. one thing is that males will only have pointed fins. females will have at least 1 rounded fin. thats what they say. hope it helps :)
My mystery parrot Butters
For those who said it just hasn't gotten its orange, here is a better pic.

When I first got him a week ago.
Now that he has settled, looks more convict like.

Re: My mystery parrot Butters
well hes really cute either way :)
Re: Pics of new baby parrot/Updated 55
Right now I have him in the 10 gallon with a baby Oscar named Marley.
