Mr. Iggy

We have two baby blood parrots in our 55 gallon tank with other baby cichlids. The bigger of the two (bubbles) Does fine standing her ground, Mr. Iggy on the other hand had to be moved to our 10 gallon tank with our fruit tetras for "rehabilitation". He seems to be.....handicapped, since we've got him. He swims sideways, and like to lay at the bottom of the tank to 'rest'. Or on the roof of the castle. Today he had been picked on more than usual and decided to start gasping as he layed on the bottom of the tank. We immediately moved him to the ten gallon tank with our tetras and he seems to get along with them better anyways. I think we may have the only blood parrot cichlid that lives with tetras. He is much more active in that tank and until he starts to out grow it we will see how he does

Mr. Iggy

Re: Mr. Iggy

the swimming sidways and ''resting'' could be a sign of many things. first check ur water quality (ph,amminia, etc). then he may be constipated, start feeding him a couple shelled peas next couple days see if he doesnt stop.

Re: Mr. Iggy

what did you keep him with
