i am getting a new 55 soon and moving the 2 parrot cichlids to the new tank and the fire mouth but i was wondering if i could also have a midas and a jewel cichlid

I have a pair of jewels that grew up with my parrots (they are in their own tank now). They got along fine.

not only should you not mix the 2 different types of cichlids but you would also be looking at an overstocking issue as well.

Jewels are african and you should mix africans with new world cichlids. Midas sucks, get an ...................OSCAR!!!!!!!!!

i think he means that u shouldnt mix them :( aggression issues. i made the mistake of trying to mix africans w/ my bps :(

I made a mistake of mixing a kenyi but they are much more aggressive than jewels.maybe i should get a jewel cichlid and i will still get a midas but also another cichlid any ideas with the midas bps and fms
