I wouldn't say BP's are peaceful fish. They certainly are territorial and will defend their territory. However, they have no teeth. Putting a BP up against a fish with teeth isn't going to be a fair fight. Whoever has the teeth is going to win.

but they dont have anyway to defend themselves. they can only intimidate, and the ones that can close there mouths can only give little hickie kisses. thats not much of a defense :(

Yikes! Wouldn't you think that one of these days that Dovii is going to take a huge chunk out of one of the BP's?

that just goes to show that BP's can be as tough as any cichlids. ive seen other videos by this guy and it seems like his fish are actually taken care of pretty well. hes just got two super territorial pairs in one tank so there is bound to be some squabbling. interesting vid though
