How can you tell when female is about to lay eggs?

I got a female about 3-4 days ago. She definitely is paired up with the guy parrot. How can you tell if they are going to breed? Here is a list of what I have been noticing with them.

1. They defend each other
2. They defend their area
3. They live in the same area
4. When I first put the girl in, the guy did this little dance.
5. I notice her looking around at rocks.

Is there anything specific that lets me know when she will lay eggs? I know most males are sterile but I want to see if I have the miracle guy!

perfect water as in....at least 78 degrees, no ammonia, no nitrites, low nitrates, right?

right! there picky about water quality and laying eggs. my tank is at 82, but anywhere from 78-82 is good. i think mine like it a little warmer.

it will probably take a while for them to get used to each other. then the tank has to be perfect. and i dont know if ur female ( based on ur pics) is mature enough yet. if u notice them both huddling in one hidden corner of the tank 4 a couple days then maybe thats whats happening. just let them get to know each other, theyre old fashoned romantics :) they dont do one night stands ;)
