Re: My parrot fish is missing
check inside all your decor. I have a redtail shark that would go inside a plastick tree root to hide. You could pull the decor out of the tank and he wouldn't come out. How big is the BP? Also, I've lost fish before and haven't been able to find them and then found a gel like substance in the tank that appeared to be the decomposed fish. I hate to say it but be on the look out for this also. I hope you find him.
Re: My parrot fish is missing
well im sorry about ur fish. once not to long ago i woke up and my angelfish was gone! just like urs, he was there the night before then vanished. so i cleaned out the tank, and like u mentioned he was under the gravel, underneath a wooden decor thing i have in there. i dont know how he died or how he got there but there he was. not saying thats what happened, but worth checking everywhere. hopefully its like chrisplosion said, and hes just really good at hiding :)
Re: My parrot fish is missing
oh wow.. yikes! I hope you find him! Did you check around the outside of the tank.. like behind it? Maybe he got really scared and jumped out the back..
Re: My parrot fish is missing
Maybe you accidentally lost him while changing water, if he was eaten there would be parts of him left. Maybe he is hiding on top of something he can get into. Mine when I first got him would hide in the coconut hut and sometimes if I got near would press himself against the top of the inside to hide. And if I would pick it up he would still hide in it. So if you have a castle or something like that pick it up and check the top of it on the inside.
