My Parrots in Their New Tank - so far so good....

So my friend gave me some fish in a small 10g tank. I invested some time and effort into a 46g bowfront (I live in a small NYC apt)... I went with an AquaClear 110 filter. I am kind of new to this hobby and I am not sure if the tank has cycled properly (PH was a bit high but amonia, nitrate, nitires were ok - possibly a sign that it didn't cycle yet? The fish don't seem to be acting stressed as far as i can tell (I just added them today). I used "Cycle" to add the beneficial bacteria and "fed" the tank. I am hearing maybe this wasn't the best route to go but I wasn't sure since I am new. Anyway - suggestions welcome. The water cleared up (it was cloudy for a few days after I added the chemical). I have 3 fish and a snail:)

very nice!

Re: My Parrots in Their New Tank - so far so good....

They were and I felt really bad about it. They came to me under rescue circumstances so I am happy their lifestyle has improved. When my friend moved away that is the tank she delivered them in (the 10g tank) and it took me a little while to get the resources for their neew space. Thank you for the well-wishes.

new parrots

very nice, names?

Re: new parrots

Well oddly enough my friend who gave them to me said naming them was too human (Chinese thing? not sure). I can't tell if they are boys or girls so since there are 3 I named them "the Girls Next Door": Holly, Kendra and Bridget lol. Someone told me 2 may be males so I will probably have to think of something better than cheesy reality show names fo them.
