unusual parrot!!

This is one of my breeds,he is the only black parrot that is slowly turning orange and shows just how cross breeding can result in dramatic colours and shapes.The rest of the brood remains black and only show a lighter belly like the severum.I feed a huge variety of natural foods and wonder if the ingredients like spirulina,crab,krill,shrimp and seaweed are bringing out the reds.

Im not sure you get what im meaning sunnyslad,if i send some more close up photos or even macro you may see in more detail what i mean.The bars on the other fishes will be the giveaway.

breeding

What did you breed your parrot with? I want to know if you breed a parrot with a convict what it will look like and if you breed with a severum what the off spring would look like.

they look like normal juvy parrots to me. all the babies i have seen start out dark and later fade to orange. one of mine had the colors of a green severum when i got him. he didn't turn orange until he was 4-5 inches.

variety changing

im not sure if he will turn completely orange but if he does and the rest of the juveniles follow suit i may have bred parrots that can be reared and sold as normal and orange varieties....oooo i am excited missus,,,all comments and advice welcome if you have bred orange parrots like this from severum before..
