i agree. do that water change fast and i would say to do small water changes often after that. keep an eye on ur levels. and just incase the laying on the side thing is bladder or constipation related, feed them a couple shelled peas a couple times a week. keep doing that as long as u have them, it gives them fiber and helps with digestion :) good luck

It's probably your water conditions if the tank is new. Did you cycle the tank before adding the fish? If not, you're now going to have to cycle your tank with the fish in it. Check your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates, then do a 30% water change asap. Make sure to add water conditioner and run the water over a themometer to make sure it's the same temp as your tank before adding it in.
If your tank has not been cycled, you are probably having a ammonia spike. Thus, causing your fish distress.
