Fiddler Crabs

Hi,I thought this was a little off topic for the forum, but ParrotCichlidGirl said to post it anyway so I wanted to see
if you would know if a fiddler crab gets out of its cage, how can you
lure it out of hiding.  They have been fine until last night they were
all laying around the cage slowly moving around and then this morning
one was missing.  I had them on the end of my island in my kitchen and
I have looked high and low and can't find her.  Any ideas
please?Thanks,KoltonP.S.  It is a female if that has anything to do with anything, and I don't think they will eat each other unless they have been dead and are starting to rot (scavengers).

try crabstreetjournal.com/xoops/modules/.../viewtopic.php?topic or could you sprinkle sand around the place to see if there's any activity, put some food there too, has anyone near you got a trap (like in scorpion) that you could borrow,

Re: crabs

Thanks, but I finally found her.  All that I can guess happened was she pile up the gravel around the edge of the tank and climbed up on top of the shells and out onto the counter top.  Then she fell off the counter, crawled through the kitchen, through my living room, and into my bedroom and I found her dead underneath the bottom edge of my bed.  I'm sad that she died, but I know the 4 ft drop off my counter didn't help her none.

sorry, at least you know, what can you do to stop the others from doing the same thing

Re: departed fiddler crab

I only have the 3 smallest males in that tank and have rearranged the decor so that it want happen again.  I took out all the females (they were quite large) and put them into two more tanks.  Hopefully they will be ok, one of the males is hiding in a hermit crab shell and will only come out to eat now.
