I just got the flowerhorn parrots last week. They are a complete 50/50 split of a flowerhorn and a parrot. Their mouths are a halfway mix of a parrot and regular cichlid mouth, so they don't struggle with eating as much as the regular parrot, but since their mouths aren't entirely cichlid (with teeth and grip), they don't harm any other fish. Basically, other than their mouth and flowerhorn pattern, they are exactly the same as a parrot cichlid. They are super friendly with the other parrot fish, and they have the same parrot shape. I have been looking for these my whole life, and when I bumped into them on the net, I had to buy. They were the same price as a blood parrot from the local fish store (but shipping was crazy). I plan on getting one to two more. The dealer is from Taiwan, and I realized that they breed their fish to perfection, so these fish were super hardy, completely healthy, and basically perfect fish. Unfortunately this site sells heart shaped parrots, and I am very against those. In summary, these are basically parrots, but have a flowerhorn pattern.

I absolutely love flowerhorns and have two blood parrots. I thought that the flowerhorn may be too large for my parrots and/or my 55 gallon tank. And you state they are flowerhorn parrots? Is that different from a regular flowerhorn. They actually look like a parrot with their bump on their forehead. Gorgeous fish and gorgeous tank also! Please e-mail any info! I am a sponge who is new at aquarium hobby and I happened to absolutely fall in love with parrot cichlids! I love them!
